Hope After Child and Sibling Loss/the empty chair endeavor

A Conversation with Davey Blackburn of Nothing is Wasted Ministries

The Empty Chair Endeavor Season 1 Episode 9

On what might have been an otherwise ordinary fall morning, November 10, 2015 instead was marked by the horrific and brutal murder of his precious, beautiful, pregnant wife and unborn child. As the story was unfolding on national news outlets, Davey Blackburn’s world had been turned upside down. Suddenly, and without warning, he found himself a widower, the single dad of an 18 month old son, and pastor of a newly founded church in Indianapolis that he and his wife Amanda had started after having moved from South Carolina. Listen as Davey talks about his journey from utter brokenness and pain to experiencing GOD’s healing and restoration as he chose to “run towards the roar.” Discover how GOD transformed Davey’s pain into a new found meaning and purpose that eventually led him to cofound Nothing is Wasted Ministries with his new wife, Kristi.
Davey and Kristi live in the Indianapolis area with their three children, Natalia, Weston, and Cohen.
