Hope After Child & Sibling Loss: An Empty Chair Endeavor Podcast is a Christ-centered podcast for grieving and bereaved parents and siblings who are learning to live after the death of a child or sibling.
Here, grief is allowed to be honest. Faith is allowed to wrestle with hard questions. And hope doesn’t mean forgetting.
Host Greg Buffkin, who with his wife Cathy experienced the devastating loss of their son Ryan to suicide, shares honest conversations with bereaved parents, siblings, counselors, ministry leaders, and others who have walked through child loss and sibling loss.
Together, we explore grief, faith, questions about God, marriage, family, surviving siblings, trauma, healing, meaning, purpose, and hope after loss.
There are no easy answers here—just honest stories, compassionate voices, biblical truth, and the reminder that you are not alone.
Because hope doesn’t forget the empty chair.

Started listening through the podcast.. but as always, so very helpful! So true, the first year I couldn’t even think.. the second I’m beginning to see life outside of my grief. Trying to see Gods plan each day. Praying for Him to reveal His plan for me, but also trying to find joy. I’ve been missing joy.. pray for Him to feel me with the joy of the Spirit every morning.
